I thought Jim Brandenburg’s 90 journey in the woods, produced some amazing photo’s. I especially like the photographs that involved the wolfs. Going out in the wilderness for 90 days with the goal of shooting one photo; per day is something that i think separates the good photographers from the great photographers. The ability to know when to take a shot or pass on one is something you don’t learn overnight. To be able to quickly set up a good shot and have the outcome look great takes a lot of time and dedication to the art of photography.

I thought sally mann’s ways of taking photographs seemed a little too time consuming for my taste, yet the pictures that were were produced were interesting to say the least. I wonder why she choses to stick with old traditional ways of photography rather then switch to digital. Yes, there is fulfilling component that one probably gets from produced photos using chemicals and film, but at the same time, i feel creativity is limited because you are only to take a single shot and can’t change its resolution, color, mistakes made during the processing, etc.
